Wire factories shut down in protest against higher taxes

The manufacturers based in the Sunsari-Morang industrial corridor accuse the government of raising import and excise duties to protect a handful of factories.

More than 2,000 workers have been made jobless after half a dozen wire factories went offline in protest against higher taxes on raw materials.
