Over 2,400 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,492 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic regulations. This has resulted in a revenue collection of 504,000 rupees for the state treasury.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 68 individuals for driving under the influence, 275 for unauthorized 'ride-sharing', 145 for violating traffic signals, and 183 for speeding.
