Manakamana Cable Car Employees Donate Salary to Flood Victims

Kathmandu. To help in the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation work of citizens affected by the flood in the Bhote Koshi region, all employees of Manakamana Cable Car have provided financial assistance. The employees contributed an amount equivalent to their two days' salary. The company stated that a total of Rs. 311,222 collected from the employees has been deposited in the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund. The said amount was deposited in the account of the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund at the New Baneshwor branch of Everest Bank Limited. The employees contributed this amount from their salaries with the objective of providing relief and rehabilitation to citizens affected by natural disasters. Manakamana Cable Car has stated that humanitarian assistance and cooperation from all sectors are necessary to help the affected citizens during times of disaster. The company expressed its belief that this contribution from the employees will provide some help in the relief and rehabilitation work of the flood victims.
