280 dead in train accident at Odisha in India

KATHMANDU, June 3: At least 280 people have died in a train accident that happened Friday night in Odisha, India. According to the local administration, more than 900 people have been injured in the accident near Balasore in Odisha.

According to the Chief Secretary of Odisha Pradip Jena, more than 200 ambulances have been deployed for the rescue of the injured. The incident is reported to be one of the major train accidents in India. Local authorities have said that the death toll may increase.
