Aloft Kathmandu Thamel earns Waste Smart certificate

Aloft Kathmandu Thamel has been awarded the prestigious Waste Smart Certificate by Creasion Ventures Inc., in collaboration with Creasion Nepal. This award recognises the hotel’s outstanding commitment to sustainability through structured plastic waste recycling and inclusive livelihood initiatives. This accolade comes shortly after the hotel signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Navish Nepal Pvt. Ltd., alongside Creasion Ventures, to implement a systematic plastic waste collection and recycling program. Under the initiative, plastics and bottles are collected regularly and recycled responsibly, per national environmental standards and global best practices. “This collaboration reflects our belief that environmental responsibility is a core pillar of hospitality, especially under Marriott International’s Serve 360 initiative,” said Vikram Singh, General Manager of Aloft Kathmandu Thamel. “We are proud to take the lead in setting new sustainability standards in Nepal.”
