Contribution of ancestors important in unification of the country: President Poudel

Kathmandu, Jan 11: President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the contribution of many of our ancestors was important in the building of a modern Nepal through unification among many principalities.

In a message today on the occasion of Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day, he has said that Prithvi Narayan Shah built the modern Nepal nation and established national independence and a common identity for the Nepalis. His divine teachings are equally popular and relevant today.
