Roads Reopen After Landslides, Some Still Blocked

Kathmandu. Some highways in the country that were blocked due to floods and landslides caused by recent rains have come into operation from today, while some main highways are still blocked.

According to Nepal Police Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Avinaryan Kafle, the BP Highway at Choukidaanda in Namobuddha Municipality-6 and Ghumaine in Roshi Rural Municipality-7, 400 Besi, Kavrepalanchok, and the Salli Chaurjhari road section at Kharkharhola and Koiralahola in Kumakh Rural Municipality-2, Salyan, which were blocked due to continuous rain on Baisakh 21, have come into operation from today.
