Progressive Music Festival Concludes with Thawang Declaration

Kathmandu. The Nepal Sangeet tatha Natya Pragya Pratishthan Kathmandu organized Progressive Music Festival recently concluded in Thawang, Rolpa, issuing a nine-point Thawang Declaration calling for the need to break the web of music spreading negative messages in society.

The nine-point declaration, prepared after the festival held on Jestha 19 and 20, was released by the Pratishthan in Kathmandu. According to Kushma Mahara Pragati, the then member secretary of the Pratishthan, the declaration was finalized and released after a workshop of progressive musicians from across the country who participated in the Progressive Music Festival-2083, held with the theme 'Progressive Melodies, For the New Generation', organized by the Nepal Sangeet tatha Natya Pragya-Pratishthan and co-organized by Rolpa Kala Sahitya Pratishthan.
