UAE Sends 38 Tons of Relief Materials to Nepal

Kathmandu. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sent approximately 38 tons of relief materials to Nepal. The fourth relief plane carrying relief materials has been sent to Nepal under the humanitarian air aid campaign. The UAE Embassy in Kathmandu stated that the plane includes 500 tents and 108 relief packages. The embassy's press release stated that with this, the total aid sent by the UAE to Nepal via air route has reached 186 tons. The materials include food, shelter, health supplies, and other essential relief and logistic items. The press release stated that preparations are being made to provide necessary materials from the local market in coordination with Nepali officials to deliver aid quickly to the affected areas. The embassy also stated that the Dubai Police's search and rescue team is continuing its work in the areas affected by floods and landslides using state-of-the-art equipment and technology. The embassy also stated that this campaign is being conducted under the leadership of UAE Relief Campaign Chief Dr. Hammoud Al Afari. Former MP Rajendra Bajgai has expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the UAE.
