Main day of Dashain: 11:36 AM auspicious time for receiving, offering Dashain tika

Kathmandu, October 12 — Today marks the main day of Bada Dashain, also known as Durga Paksha, during which the red tika, symbolizing auspiciousness, and Jamara, symbolizing prosperity, are being applied as blessings from elders in the form of offerings to the Nawadurga.

The best time for applying tika this year is on October 12 at 11:36 AM. The Nepal Calendar Determination Committee has announced that the goddess will be immersed at 8:33 AM.
