Scientists link monsoon changes to rising global temperatures

Kathmandu, October 13 — Climate experts have stated that climate change is causing an increase in Earth’s temperature, which is also affecting the monsoon system. As a result of these changes, this year’s monsoon has departed from the country 10 days later than in previous years.

Climate scientist Manjit Dhakal considers the delayed exit of the monsoon as a sign of changes in the monsoon system. He noted that this can be viewed as a response to the effects of climate change, highlighting that the heavy rainfall on September 27 and 28 is indicative of these impacts. However, he emphasizes the need for research into such climate-related risks.
