Lightning Strike Kills One, Injures Two in Sankhuwasabha

Sankhuwasabha. One person has died and two have been injured in a lightning strike in Pokhra of Panchkhapan Municipality-8 in Sankhuwasabha. One person, who was peeling cardamom, died when lightning struck amidst rain last night in Pokhra of Panchkhapan-8, while two others were seriously injured.

Umesh Dahal, 28, who was peeling cardamom at a cardamom kiln in Pokhra of Panchkhapan-8, died, informed Dhan Bahadur Rajbanshi, Police Inspector and Information Officer at the District Police Office. Dahal, 28, who was seriously injured by lightning that struck amidst wind and rain, was declared dead by doctors immediately after being admitted to Panchkhapan Basic Hospital in Wana.
