Loss and Damage Fund Responds to Nepal's Flood Damage Request

Kathmandu. The 'Loss and Damage Fund (FRLD)' has responded to the damage caused by the devastating BhoteKoshi flood in Nepal. The co-chairs of the fund sent a letter to the Government of Nepal expressing deep sympathy and solidarity with the Nepali people and government.
On Bhadra 15, the Government of Nepal had requested emergency assistance from the fund. Responding to that letter today, the fund stated, 'The fund is working seriously on this matter.' The response was addressed to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Minister of Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary. 'After discussing with the board, we have advanced the process to address Nepal's emergency request as soon as possible,' the fund said.
