Six Injured in Auto Accident in Ilam

Ilam. Six people were injured when an auto accident occurred on the Pokhari Kamre internal कच्ची (unpaved) road section of Phakphokthum Rural Municipality 6, Hangmasuli, Ilam. The auto, with registration number Madhesh Pradesh-03-003 Ha 6967, which was traveling from Mangalbare towards Hangmasuli, lost control and fell about two meters below the road. Immediately after the accident, petrol leaked from the auto and caught fire.

Auto driver Lok Bahadur Shrestha, 35, of Pokhari Bazar, Phakphokthum Rural Municipality 6, Kabita Shrestha, 27, of Tillekni, Ilam Municipality 7, and her eight-year-old daughter Khusika Shrestha were seriously injured in the accident. Kabita, who was returning to her maternal home in Hangmasuli, Phakphokthum 6, was involved in the accident while returning home. Durga Devi Shrestha, 22, of Mangalbare, Deumai Municipality 4, and Rama Kumari Shrestha, 40, of Maijhadar, Kankai Municipality, Jhapa, were slightly injured in the accident. Mandira Thapa, 27, of Hangmasuli, Phakphokthum 6, sustained moderate injuries.
