Power disruption put Tila and Tatopani rural municipality folks in trouble

KARNALI, Jan 6: Folks of Tila and Tatopani rural municipality in Jumla are being compelled to use kerosene lamps for light following massive flood and landslide events on last October 18. People have been forced to live in the dark when the flood blew away micro hydropower.

There has been no electricity in both the rural municipalities for over three months after the flood and landslides caused damages to five micro hydropower projects. With this locals have adopted temporary alternative measures for light.
