Elderly Residents Regain Sight After Free Cataract Surgery Camp in Gorkha

Gorkha. Subi Gurung, 74, from Ajirkot-1, Gyachhok, has successfully seen the world again after two years. She had lost her eyesight due to cataracts for a long time, and her son, Kanchha Gurung, carried her to the hospital.

Subi's face lit up with immense joy as the bandages were removed after the surgery. After the health workers cleaned her eyes and fitted her with glasses, she was able to recognize people. Thanking the doctors who showed her the world, she said she can now walk without a cane or support.
