Karnali Chief Minister Warns Against Decisions Outside Constitutional Framework

Surkhet. Karnali Province Chief Minister Yamalal Kandel has warned that any decision made outside the scope of the constitution will not be acceptable to the provincial government. Kandel expressed this view while addressing the first meeting of the seventh session of the second term of the Karnali Provincial Assembly in Surkhet.

He clarified that the provincial government is not merely an unit under the federal government but is an achievement of the people's movement and the backbone of the constitution. Stating that he favors respectful collaboration rather than confrontation with the federal government, he mentioned that collective resistance by provincial governments against interference in the name of the budget has brought some improvement. He expressed skepticism about the assurance of elections scheduled for February 21 by the citizen government formed after the 'Genji' movement.
