Baitadi Road Division Cancels 10 Project Contracts

Baitadi. The Road Division Office Baitadi has canceled 10 contracts for various road projects. The office published a notice stating that the 'stipulated deadline has expired' but construction and repair work has not been completed. The division has taken such a strict step due to the increasing trend of leaving construction work unfinished and not adhering to contracts.

These contracts have been terminated in accordance with Section 59, Sub-section 7 of the Public Procurement Act 2063 and the General Conditions of Contract (GCC). The construction entrepreneurs whose contracts have been canceled will be recommended for blacklisting as per Rule 141 of the Public Procurement Regulations 2064. In addition, as per Section 59, Sub-section 8 of the Act, performance security, deposit amount, and advance payment security will be forfeited.
