800 Armed Police Deployed for Haritalika Teej Security at Pashupatinath Temple

Kathmandu. 800 armed police have been deployed for the security of Haritalika Teej at the Pashupatinath Temple area. The Armed Police Headquarters has informed that manpower including health and drinking water has been mobilized. Since Sunday midnight 2 AM, armed police personnel have been managing devotees, peace and security, and health-related management in the temple premises. A medical team including a female doctor and ambulance from APF Hospital Balambu has been stationed in the temple premises. Similarly, a team with a drinking water tanker from the headquarters has also been deployed since last night. Armed Police Force Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed that a rescue team including divers has been kept on standby on the banks of the Bagmati River near Ram Mandir in the Pashupati area. Armed police personnel have also been deployed in plain clothes in the temple premises and surrounding areas to monitor undesirable activities throughout the Teej period. Armed police have stated that patrols have been increased for necessary peace and security in areas including Tilganga, Jai Bageshwori, Guhyeshwori Temple, Vishwarupa Temple, and Gaurighat. The Armed Police have also established a command post in the temple premises. The Nepal Police have deployed 2500 police for the security of Teej.
