Udaipur Division Forest Office Official Charged with Bribery

Kathmandu. A case has been filed in the Special Court against Bhuwan Poudel, Planning Branch Chief and Forest Officer of the Division Forest Office, Udaipur, for taking a bribe from service recipients for the purpose of providing wood log support and auction agreement recommendation letters for community forest consumer groups.

A team dispatched from the Office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Itahari, had taken the seventh-level Forest Officer Poudel into custody while he was receiving fifteen thousand rupees in bribe from a service recipient.
