Government Aims to Reopen Bhote Koshi Flood-Affected Roads by October

Kathmandu. The government has been working to bring the damaged roads in the Bhote Koshi flood-affected areas into operation by October. In a discussion held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers with representatives from the flood-affected areas, Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal stated that eight thematic task forces have been formed to expedite road and bridge construction.

Minister Lamsal urged local representatives to support infrastructure reconstruction to avoid duplication. He clarified that efforts are underway to expedite the operation of alternative roads and the installation of tuins and suspension bridges in the flood-affected areas. He stated that the construction of permanent roads and bridges will now be completed quickly.
