Rare flood destroys 12 houses, a school and a clinic in Everest village

One person has gone missing after Thame River swamps settlement in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality.

In an unusual flooding event in the Everest region, the swollen Thame river destroyed 12 houses, a school and a clinic in ward 5 of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu District on Friday afternoon.
