Two Dead in Separate Road Accidents in Kathmandu and Panchthar

Kathmandu. Two people have died in road accidents in Kathmandu and Panchthar. The accident occurred on Tuesday morning when a bus with registration number Ba.5 Kha 3671 hit a scooter with registration number Ba.53 Pa 2485 on the road in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3. Samir Shrestha, 22, a resident of Budhanilkantha Municipality-13, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj. Another person riding the scooter is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. The bus driver has been taken into police custody. Similarly, a tractor with registration number Me.1 Ta 5932 went out of control and met with an accident on the road at Milan Chowk in Phidim Municipality-12, Panchthar on Monday afternoon. Pawan Mote, 18, a co-driver residing in Amarapur, Hillihang Rural Municipality-11, died on the spot in the accident. One person who was in the tractor and was injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Panchthar. The tractor driver has been taken into police custody. Police are conducting necessary investigations into both accidents.
