Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle said that the Capital Market Strengthening and Revitalization Action Plan, 2083 has had a direct positive impact on the stock market. Investment sentiment has been high, and the Nepal Stock Exchange index has closed with a double-digit increase. On the second trading day of the week, the NEPSE index increased by 48.57 points, or 1.87 percent, to reach 2,633.62 points. Along with the market index, there has been a significant improvement in the trading volume. On Tuesday, shares of 2 crore 3 lakh 87 thousand 413 units of 347 companies were traded a total of 78 thousand 869 times, with a total transaction of more than 8 billion 29 crore 17 lakh rupees. On Monday, shares worth 4 billion 68 crore rupees were bought and sold. The government's new action plan has filled investors with enthusiasm, leading to buyers dominating the market. Accordingly, the share price of 265 companies that came into trading has increased, while the price of only 12 companies has decreased. The share price of 1 company has remained stable. On Tuesday, the indices of all 13 sub-groups increased. Among them, the index of the non-life insurance sub-group increased by the highest 2.82 percent. Similarly, the indices of finance, investment, life insurance, and other sub-groups increased by more than 2 percent, while the indices of banking, development bank, hotel and tourism, hydropower, and microfinance sub-groups increased by more than 1 percent. The share price of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased by the highest 14.96 percent. Similarly, the share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank increased by 11 percent, while the share price of Multipurpose Finance Company increased by more than 9.5 percent. In terms of trading volume, Reliance Spinning Mills has topped the list. Shares worth 32 crore 70 lakh rupees of that company were traded. Investors were attracted after the company announced the distribution of a 30 percent cash dividend. Similarly, the trading volume of Shivam Cements exceeded 31.5 crore rupees, while shares worth approximately 28.5 crore rupees of Api Power Company were traded.
