CPN Party Convention Postponed Amidst Ideological Disputes and Organizational Challenges

Kathmandu. The unification general convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), scheduled to be held from November 27 to December 1, appears to be postponed. The Central Coordination Committee meeting of the CPN held in April had approved the convention's schedule. However, due to the lack of progress in the convention's work according to the schedule, the possibility of the convention not being held on the scheduled date has increased.

A high-level leader of the party argued that the convention cannot be held until the ideological, theoretical, and organizational chaos between the former CPN Maoist Center and CPN Unified Socialist Party is resolved.
