Shram Sanskriti Party Whip Criticizes Government's Flood Response

Kathmandu. Shram Sanskriti Party Chief Whip Aren Rai has accused the government of failing to effectively carry out search and rescue operations following the flood in Bhote Koshi, Rasuwa. He made such an accusation while speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

He stated that the government has not been able to effectively conduct search, rescue, and relief programs in flood-affected districts including Rasuwa. He expressed concern over the insufficient deployment of security personnel and experts for the rescue of citizens trapped in the tunnel in Hakubesi, Rasuwa. He also informed that 6 to 8 people are reported missing in the Chilime Hydropower area.
