LP Gas Shortage Intensifies in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu. The line for gas has now become like a daily routine, especially for the residents of Kathmandu Valley. Although the shortage of LP gas for cooking has reached an extreme state, its beginning was in the months of Poush-Magh.

A few months after the Israel-America and Iran war began, an energy crisis escalated worldwide. Relatively, as things are becoming easier now, the gas shortage in Nepal has reached an extreme state. There is a compulsion to stand in a long line just to get gas. At the end of Falgun last year, the Nepal Oil Corporation, in an effort to ease gas management, decided to sell only half a cylinder. Then, claiming some improvement, full cylinders started being sold and distributed at the end of Ashadh. Since then, the gas crisis has further intensified.
