Five Health Professional Councils Urge Against Unauthorized Photos, Videos, and Interviews in Sensitive Health Service Areas

Kathmandu. Five health professional councils have expressed serious concern over the unauthorized taking of photos, videos, and interviews in sensitive health service areas, including Intensive Care Units (ICUs), without considering patient privacy, dignified treatment, and security.

The Nepal Medical Council, Nepal Nursing Council, Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council, Nepal Health Professionals Council, and Nepal Pharmacy Council issued a joint press release on Tuesday, strictly appealing not to enter such sensitive areas without prior permission from the health institution. They have urged not to record or allow the recording of audio-visual materials or interviews.
