Karnali Region Faces High Risk of Disasters, Including Landslides and Floods

Surkhet. On Sunday night, a flood in the Baulah stream between Nalgad Municipality-1 and 2 in Jajarkot washed away more than 8 temporary shelters of earthquake victims. Livestock and goods from temporary shelters and shops were also swept away.

Although there was no human casualty, the flood added to the suffering of citizens already in pain from the earthquake. The earthquake had destroyed houses, and the flood swept away the temporary shelters.
