IAEA General Conference Begins in Vienna Amid Geopolitical Tensions

Kathmandu. The 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency has begun in Vienna, Austria. Amidst rising geopolitical tensions, the conference has called for strengthening multilateral cooperation and maintaining the global nuclear non-proliferation regime.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres's message was presented at the conference by Monica Juma, Director-General of the United Nations Office in Vienna. Guterres stated that the world is currently in a state of serious instability and uncertainty.
