Parliament Service Day being observed with variety of programmes

Kathmandu, Dec 14: In celebration of the establishment of the autonomous Parliament Service, distinct from the civil service, Federal Parliament Service Day is commemorated annually on Mangsir 28, which is today, featuring numerous activities.

The Parliament Service was created as a separate entity from the civil service in (2058 BS). The Federal Parliament Secretariat has arranged several events for this occasion. As per Article 207 of the Constitution of Nepal, a secretariat is mandated to oversee and manage the operations of the Federal Parliament, with the establishment of such a secretariat and related provisions to be governed by federal law.
