Madhav Kumar Nepal Calls for Prime Minister's Dialogue on Disasters

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and CPN Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal has stated that the Prime Minister should engage in dialogue with political parties and experts on the issue of disasters to form a national opinion. Speaking to journalists after an all-party meeting convened at the initiative of Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane on Wednesday, Nepal expressed this view.

He stated that the Prime Minister should prioritize inter-party dialogue on national issues like disaster management. He said that despite being busy, the Prime Minister should call various political parties for consultation and determine the future course of action after discussing with experts. He commented that the government seemed to be lagging somewhat behind in addressing recent disasters.
