At Least 60 Miners Dead in Sudan Gold Mine Collapse

Sudan. In South Sudan, at least 60 small mine workers have died and many are missing due to the collapse of a gold mine. The bodies of 60 people have been recovered in the rescue operation after the Al-Jara gold mine near the city of Al-Nahud in West Kordofan collapsed.

After participating in the rescue operation overnight, survivors have indicated that many more workers are still trapped inside the mine.
