EU Proposes Stricter Digital Platform Regulations for Child Protection

Brussels. The European Union (EU) is preparing to tighten regulations on digital platforms to protect children from social media addiction, harmful content, and risks created by AI.

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed a ban on social media, online games, and chatbots for children under 13 years of age during her annual address on the 'State of the European Union' in Strasbourg on Wednesday.
