191 Vehicles Damaged, 344 Missing in Bhote Koshi Flood

Kathmandu. On August 26, 191 vehicles under the Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs National Federation were damaged in the flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa. According to the federation's general secretary, Decnath Gautam, 344 people, including drivers, co-drivers, and passengers of these vehicles, went missing due to the Bhote Koshi flood damaging 191 vehicles of nine companies across the country. According to the federation, 50 workers went missing due to damage to 19 buses, one mini-truck, two jeeps, and four containers under Nepal Arniko Transport Service Pvt. Ltd. due to the Bhote Koshi flood. Similarly, 21 people went missing due to damage to 19 buses of Namaste Pasang Lhamu Transport Pvt. Ltd. Balaju. Two drivers went missing due to damage to two containers of Bhaktapur New Vision Transport Pvt. Ltd. Likewise, 10 drivers went missing due to damage to four trucks, 16 containers, and one sumo of Himalayan Transport Company. 45 drivers went missing due to damage to seven tippers, 22 containers, 23 trucks, and one trailer under the Nepal Tipper and Truck Entrepreneurs Committee. 70 people went missing due to damage to 59 trucks and containers of Narayani Transport Entrepreneurs Company Pvt. Ltd., while nine microbuses of Nepal Micro Company were damaged. Similarly, one driver and 22 passengers went missing due to damage to one bus of Prithvi Highway Operator Company. Similarly, one driver and 25 pilgrims went missing due to damage to one bus of Dhading Mandali Transport Pvt. Ltd., said federation general secretary Gautam.
