Supreme Court bans Yashoda Foods from using Wai Wai trademark

Kathmandu, August 19 - The Supreme Court has directed Yashoda Foods to cease using a trademark that resembles Wai Wai Noodles. The ruling was issued on August 16th by a bench comprising Justice Kumar Regmi and Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman.

CG Foods Nepal Limited filed a lawsuit against Yashoda Foods, alleging that the company’s Current Noodles copied the Wai Wai trademark. The Patan High Court had previously ordered Yashoda Foods to stop using the similar trademark. In response, Yashoda Foods appealed to the Supreme Court, seeking permission to use a trademark similar to Wai Wai's.
