Parties Fail to Reach Consensus on Special Parliamentary Committee TOR

Kathmandu. Discussions among parties to form the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the special parliamentary committee on Rasuwa–Bhotekoshi–Trishuli disaster and climate change have ended inconclusively. The meeting of party leaders, initiated by Ganesh Parajuli, deputy leader of the ruling party RSP parliamentary party, on Thursday, discussed various issues but failed to reach an agreement.

"Discussions were held on how to form the special parliamentary committee, for how long it should be, and what tasks it should undertake, but no agreement was reached today," said UML MP Padma Aryal, who participated in the discussion. "Talks have been held about reaching an agreement in the next meeting."
