Rastriya Swatantra Party General Secretary Bipin Acharya Condemns Attacks on MPs

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) General Secretary Bipin Acharya has strongly condemned the physical attacks and threats against MPs on the basis of holding different views. In the House of Representatives meeting, General Secretary Acharya said that attacks are being made on freedom of expression and democratic tolerance.

"I may disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the last breath to protect your right to speak," he said. He argued that although the Constitution of Nepal guarantees freedom of expression as a fundamental right, the indecent behavior and threats targeted at MPs right at the door of the parliament mock democracy.
