Anti-Corruption Body Files 175 Cases in One Year

Kathmandu. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed 175 cases in court in one year. Spokesperson (Joint Secretary) of the Commission, Suresh Neupane, informed at a press conference on Thursday that 175 charge sheets were filed in the Special Court in the fiscal year 2082/083.

In the last fiscal year, the commission has kept 585 complaints in abeyance. Joint Secretary Neupane stated that 8,019 complaints filed at the commission are yet to be settled. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed 5 cases related to money laundering in the court in the last 1 year.
