Kathmandu Valley LP Gas Price Reduced to Rs. 2,060 Per Cylinder

Kathmandu. The price of LP gas for cooking, which has been distributed in the Kathmandu Valley, has decreased. With the resumption of traffic on the Prithvi Highway, the Nepal LP Gas Industry Association has directed to sell and distribute gas at the previous price, i.e., Rs. 2,060 per cylinder. The reduced price will be effective from Friday, October 2nd.

On Sunday, September 14th, a severe flood in the Trishuli River in the Krishnabhir area had cut off some sections of the Prithvi Highway, completely blocking the road. Due to the blockage of the main highway, gas suppliers to the valley had to refill cylinders from gas industries located in Makwanpur, Parsa, Bara, Chitwan, Nawalparasi, and Dhanusha and bring gas through an alternative (long) route.
