Parliamentary Committee Passes Bill Weakening Nepal Rastra Bank Autonomy

Kathmandu. A bill has been passed by the parliamentary committee with serious questions raised about the autonomy of Nepal Rastra Bank.

The bill has weakened the autonomy of the central bank, the supreme body for managing the country's overall monetary system, controlling inflation, and maintaining financial stability.
