27 Foreign Tourists Rescued from Flood-Affected Areas in Rasuwa

Kathmandu. 27 foreign tourists stranded in the flood-affected areas of BhoteKoshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa have been safely rescued. According to a report released by the Nepal Tourism Board on Thursday, those tourists stranded in the Timure and BhoteKoshi areas of Rasuwa were rescued in coordination with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.

After the sudden flood that occurred around 8:30 AM last Wednesday, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Tourism Board, Tourism Police and other stakeholders became active in the search and rescue of tourists in the flood-affected areas. The rescued tourists include 11 Indian nationals, 4 South Korean nationals, 2 Italian nationals, 2 American nationals, and 8 Chinese nationals.
