Foreign Minister to Inform UN About Climate Change Threat to Himalayan Civilization

Kathmandu. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has said that the threat to Himalayan civilization due to climate change will be informed to the world community through the United Nations.

During an informal interaction with journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday evening, he said, "Nepal and Himalayan countries like us are at risk from climate change. This has been proven by the Himalayan tsunami in Bhote Koshi. We will raise this issue in the upcoming UN General Assembly."
