Film 'Bookie Phool' on Gurung Community History Begins Production

Kathmandu. A film 'Bookie Phool', which has the history, culture, social life, and traditions of the Gurung community as its subject matter, starring Dayahang Rai in the lead role, has started production. The film was auspiciously launched in the tourist village of Sikles in Kaski according to Gurung tradition.

The majority of the filming for 'Bookie Phool' will be done in and around Sikles in Kaski, under the concept and production of Bed Bahadur Gurung 'Shyam' and direction of Omprakash Gurung. Film director Nabin Subba, Ward Chairman of Madi Rural Municipality-1 Devi Jung Gurung, artists, and local residents were present at the auspicious launch ceremony.
