Government Initiates Action to Differentiate LPG Cylinders for Domestic and Commercial Use

Kathmandu. The government has initiated efforts to curb black marketing of gas in the market and to differentiate between commercial and domestic use cylinders. It has been informed that the process of classifying cooking LP gas into domestic and commercial use cylinders and fixing separate prices is being advanced.

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has formed a study task force to study this matter and submit a report within 15 days. The ministry has corresponded with the concerned departments, the Oil Corporation, and gas industry associations to nominate representatives for the task force.
