Five Dead in Separate Road Accidents Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Five people have died in separate road accidents across the country. Police have stated that they lost their lives in accidents in Sunsari, Chitwan, Syangja, and Kailali. In Sunsari, a 29-year-old Anil Rai, residing in Dhankuta Municipality-2 Bhirgaun, died when his motorcycle, Ko.19 Pa 3150, lost control and met with an accident on a road in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-4 on Friday morning. He died during treatment at Birat Medical College Teaching Hospital Morang. Another person injured in the same accident is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. Similarly, in Chitwan, two people died when a motorcycle, Ba.Pra.06-003 Pa 0275, and a tanker, Lu.1 Kha 6601, collided on a road in Rapti Municipality-7 Birendranagar on Thursday night. Shakti Chaudhary, 32, and Nasib Chaudhary, 29, both residing in Khairahani Municipality-10, died during treatment at Old Medical College Bharatpur after being seriously injured in the accident, police said. The tanker driver has been taken into police custody. In Syangja, a 32-year-old Suraj Adhikari, a resident of Rampur Municipality-5 in Palpa, died when a Hyace, Ga.1 Ja 8437, and a motorcycle, Lu.96 Pa 5947, collided on a road in Waling Municipality-6 Padetari on Thursday afternoon. He died during treatment at Gandaki Hospital Pokhara after being seriously injured in the accident. Another person injured in the accident is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. The Hyace driver has been taken into police custody. In Kailali, a pedestrian died after being hit by a Hyace, Su.Pa.Pra.01-001 Ja 1580, on a road in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-3 Fapla. The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Kalu Rana, a resident of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-3 Chatakpur. He died during treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital Dhangadhi after being seriously injured in the Hyace collision on Thursday night. The Hyace driver has been taken into police custody. Police have stated that they are conducting necessary investigations into all the accidents.
