Besishahar-Chame Road Reopens After Three Days Due to Landslide

Lamjung. The Besishahar-Chame road, blocked by a landslide since Wednesday morning, has come into operation after three days. The road has come into operation since this morning after the debris and rocks were removed by the Nepali Army by detonating a bomb at Khotre in Naso Rural Municipality-3, Manang, which was blocked by a landslide, informed Naveen Bisht, Information Officer of the Dumre-Besishahar-Chame Road Project.

According to him, large rocks had fallen along with the landslide at Khotre. One of those rocks was very large. A bomb blast was carried out on Thursday to remove the rock after the road was blocked. He said that after the rock did not break completely in the first blast, the rock was broken by detonating again today and the landslide was cleared.
