Two Arrested in Sunsari for Hundi Business Worth Over NPR 1.57 Billion

Sunsari. Police have arrested two people from Biratnagar on charges of transacting over NPR 1.57 billion through Hundi business. Shambhuprasad Sah, 56, of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-15 Rani, and Surajprasad Sah, 35, of Biratnagar-17 were arrested on Thursday by a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Sunsari.

According to District Police Office Information Officer Chandrabahadur Khadka, based on information that various individuals were involved in Hundi business, analysis of the banking transactions of suspicious individuals revealed that Shambhuprasad and Surajprasad, in collusion with others, had transacted an amount equivalent to NPR 1,576,439,340 through Hundi using bank accounts held in their personal and firm names, he informed.
