Police Recover Loaded Pistol During Investigation of Three House Thefts in Rautahat

Rautahat. During the investigation of a theft incident in three houses in Bhimdaur of Garuda Municipality-7, Rautahat, police recovered one loaded pistol. The thief entered the one-story concrete house of Dayaram Sah of Bhimdaur around 9:30 AM on Friday by breaking the latch of the back door. Police reported that three mobile phones of Redmi, Oppo, and Realme brands were stolen from the house. Similarly, in the house of Manoj Sah of the same place, money amounting to approximately 5,000 rupees was stolen from a purse kept in a drawer after entering through the roof door and removing the latch of the room, said DSP Shankar Prasad Acharya, Chief of the Garuda Area Police Office. Likewise, in the house of Ramagya Sah, 8,000 rupees in cash and one Vivo mobile phone kept in a purse inside a tin box in the room were stolen after entering through the upper door, informed DSP Acharya. Upon receiving information about thefts in all three houses, a police team under the command of Inspector Ujjwal Chhetri from the Garuda Area Police Office was deployed. During the investigation, police found one live round loaded pistol from a cot kept on the veranda of Dayaram Sah's mud-roofed ground floor house. Police have recovered the pistol and are further investigating the incident related to theft and weapons. Rautahat Police Chief SP Sitaram Rijjal confirmed that the weapon was found in an unclaimed state. He informed that no one has been arrested so far in connection with the incident and further investigation is underway regarding the weapon.
