Former PM Nepal Comments on Foreign Interference and National Crisis

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Co-chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has commented that the country is going through a major crisis due to foreign interference. He said this while addressing the central committee full meeting of All Nepal Peasants' Federation in Kathmandu on Friday. Nepal expressed serious concern, wondering if Nepal would become a playground for foreigners. He stated that landlocked Nepal must be serious about maintaining harmonious relations with its two large neighbors and protecting its national dignity and respect. He mentioned that they have played an important role in the country's nationality, democracy, republic, and constitution-building, and claimed that the responsibility of protecting federalism has also fallen on their shoulders. He clarified that the cooperation of all parties is necessary for the protection and strengthening of the republic, constitution, and federalism. Discussing the important role of CPN in national politics, he said that forces with similar ideologies and those who fought for democracy must come together to protect democracy, the republic, the constitution, and federalism. Addressing the program, Co-chair Nepal said, 'Our country is in a major crisis right now. Foreign interference is going on. Nationality is in crisis. We are concerned whether our country will become a playground for foreigners.' Speaking about Nepal's geopolitical situation and neighborly relations, he added, 'This country, a landlocked nation situated between two large countries, must move forward with the spirit of how to live peacefully, how to build harmonious relations with neighbors, and how to protect Nepal's dignity.' Expressing commitment to face challenges, he said, 'We must move forward with the spirit of how to advance Nepal's respect, and if anyone tries to create problems or challenges us, we must have the courage to face them.' Giving an example of protecting the constitution and system, he said, 'It is our responsibility to protect the changes we have brought about. A mother's job is not just to give birth to children, but also to raise them. To make them good, capable, and competent. Your cooperation is needed to fulfill all these responsibilities.' During the address, Co-chair Nepal also emphasized the need to advance the agricultural revolution in the country through the modernization and mechanization of agriculture.
